Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Age Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education, strong classroom management skills, and a commitment to cultivate a positive learning environment. This role involves caring for children, implementing curriculum, fostering social-emotional development, and maintaining a nurturing and structured classroom environment.
Responsibilities:
- Create a nurturing and safe learning environment for children
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development
- Collaborate with parents and colleagues to ensure a holistic learning experience for each child
- Foster a love of learning through engaging and interactive lesson plans
- Supervise and engage with children to promote positive behavior and development.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding child progress, concerns, and milestones.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting learning space.
- Follow all school policies, safety procedures, and licensing regulations.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 25 years old
Clean driving record (required to drive center bus/vehicles)
- High school diploma or GED required
- Experience working with school age or elementary and middle school summer camps and field trips
- CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Must pass a background check and meet state licensing requirements
