An FMCG manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Payroll Supervisor to oversee payroll administration and time-and-attendance processes, ensuring accurate and timely payroll, reliable employee records, and compliance with applicable legislation and company procedures
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise weekly payroll processing and verify timesheets, leave, overtime, appointments, transfers and terminations
- Check payroll calculations, deductions, benefits and supporting documentation for accuracy
- Investigate and resolve payroll, wages and leave queries and discrepancies
- Oversee biometric clocking, shift patterns, attendance records and authorised overtime
- Prepare weekly and monthly payroll, wage, overtime, attendance, leave and headcount reports
- Maintain accurate employee payroll records and ensure confidentiality
- Support payroll reconciliations, audits and compliance with labour and statutory requirements
Minimum Requirements:
Education and Experience:
- Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent
- At least 3 years' payroll administration experience; supervisory experience is an advantage
- Experience with payroll software; Accsys experience would be beneficial
Knowledge and Skills:
- Sound knowledge of payroll processes, BCEA requirements and statutory deductions such as PAYE, UIF and SDL
- Strong numerical, Excel, data-entry and reporting skills with excellent attention to detail
- Good communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
- Ability to meet deadlines, maintain confidentiality and work effectively with employees, supervisors and management
