Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Warehouse / Inventory Manager to lead our distribution and supply chain operations. This pivotal role involves overseeing all aspects of warehouse management, inventory control, logistics, and distribution processes to ensure seamless operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of supply chain management, and a passion for process improvement. By driving efficiency and maintaining optimal inventory levels, you will play a key role in supporting our company's growth and customer satisfaction.

Any existing experience in flooring software is a plus but not required

Duties

  • Manage daily warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, and dispatching to ensure timely delivery and accuracy.
  • Oversee inventory management systems to maintain precise stock levels, conducting regular audits and cycle counts.
  • Lead and supervise warehouse staff, fostering a team-oriented environment focused on safety, productivity, and continuous improvement.
  • Implement process improvements utilizing lean principles and continuous improvement strategies to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Develop and manage budgets related to warehouse operations, procurement, and distribution activities while monitoring profit & loss statements.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, transportation regulations, and company policies across all distribution activities.

Skills

  • Proven experience in warehouse supervision, operations management, and supervising teams within a distribution environment.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles including demand planning, production planning, procurement, and inventory control.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement process improvements using lean methodologies and continuous improvement practices.
  • Excellent managerial communication skills with the ability to lead teams effectively while managing multiple priorities.
  • Strong understanding of budgeting processes including cost control related to freight, procurement, and warehouse operations.
  • Knowledge of safety standards related to forklift operation, materials handling equipment, and warehouse safety protocols.
