Oklahoma Electric Cooperative in Norman, OK is accepting applications for a 2027 Lineman internship.
Internships will likely start in January 2027 and run for approximately 8-16 weeks. Lineman Interns will gain hands-on experience in overhead and underground construction, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Applicants should meet the following qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in, or recent graduate of, Electric Power Line Technology (or similar) degree or certificate program
- Trained and certified in climbing
- Trained and certified in First Aid and CPR
- Basic electricity knowledge
- Have and maintain Class A CDL or will obtain prior to graduation
- Live in OEC service territory during the internship
