Job Overview
OpenForge is seeking a Mobile Application Developer to contribute to the development and improvement of modern mobile applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in mobile engineering, user-centered design, API integration, and software testing.
In this role, you will collaborate with product strategists, designers, and engineers to turn business requirements into reliable, intuitive mobile experiences. You will help deliver application features, resolve technical issues, and maintain high standards for performance, security, and usability.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain mobile applications for iOS and Android.
- Build responsive, accessible, and user-friendly application interfaces.
- Implement application features using appropriate native or cross-platform technologies.
- Integrate REST APIs, backend services, databases, and third-party platforms.
- Collaborate with designers and product teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Identify and resolve bugs, performance issues, and compatibility problems.
- Write clean, reusable, and maintainable code.
- Participate in code reviews, automated testing, and release preparation.
- Apply mobile security practices and protect sensitive application data.
- Monitor application performance and recommend improvements based on user feedback.
- Maintain technical documentation and support ongoing application updates.
Required Skills
- Experience developing mobile applications for iOS, Android, or cross-platform environments.
- Familiarity with JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular, React, Ionic, Capacitor, Swift, Kotlin, or Flutter, as relevant to the project.
- Knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, application architecture, and data management.
- Experience using Git and collaborative development tools.
- Understanding of debugging, software testing, and performance optimization.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage development tasks and adapt to changing project requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience delivering mobile applications through testing, deployment, and post-launch maintenance.
- Familiarity with CI/CD workflows, automated testing, and cloud-based services.
- Understanding of Agile development practices and user-centered product design.
- Experience integrating analytics, authentication, notifications, or other mobile application services.
