XLNC Builder LLC is seeking a knowledgeable, tenacious and seasoned Operations Manager who is intimately familiar with construction plans and understands how to deal with the city until a permit is secured. If you can read a set of plans, you can see what you are missing, you can speak the language of the city and you can turn plan-check comments into approvals, we want to talk to you.
This is not a desk job like the one with all of the paperwork, you will be the person that clients and city reviewers will be dealing with throughout the feasibility discussion and the entire process of getting the permit.
What You'll Own
Review and sign contracts to ensure they're feasible.
Design schematic development
Drafting coordination
Elevation development
securing customer approval of plans
Addressing plan check comments/corrections directly to the city
No handoff – getting the permit in hand (start to finish)
What Makes You a Fit
You can read and understand construction plans – floor plans, elevations, structural plans, site plans – not just route them.
You have previously worked with city planning/building departments and understand the process of plan check, plan corrections, and resubmittals.
You are able to clearly communicate with the city and have corrections processed quickly, rather than waiting
You can easily serve as the liaison between the client, the design/drafting team and the city, explaining between the three.
You can manage several projects simultaneously, with each project at various stages of the pipeline.
Experience in permitting ADU, single family residences, remodeling or other residential applications is a plus
