Marketplace Executive

Are you commercially minded, customer focussed and motivated to help grow an eCommerce business?

Origin Suregreen Limited is looking for a Marketplace Executive to join our eCommerce team and help

take our marketplace performance to the next level. This is a hands-on opportunity to shape how our

products appear, perform and grow across key online channels, bringing fresh ideas and plenty of

energy to a fast-moving part of the business.

This is a great role for an experienced eCommerce professional who knows their way around online

marketplaces, has a sharp commercial eye and enjoys turning ideas and insights into results. You

will be someone who is happy getting stuck into the detail, spotting opportunities others might

miss and working with different teams to keep things moving and deliver a consistently strong

customer experience.

The role will help grow sales across marketplaces including Amazon and eBay, find fresh ways to

make our products stand out and make a real difference to the success of our landscaping and

gardening range. From improving listings and supporting promotions to keeping an eye on performance

and testing new ideas, you will have plenty of scope to make the role your own and see the impact

of your work.

Role Overview

The Marketplace Executive will be responsible for growing the company’s online marketplace sales

performance by ensuring products are accurately configured, effectively presented, competitively

positioned and actively promoted to maximise marketplace presence.

This role requires a motivated and commercially aware individual who can manage marketplace

content, listings and product data across relevant sales channels, working to optimise visibility,

improve conversion and support promotional activity.

With an emphasis on continuous improvement, the Marketplace Executive will monitor performance,

identify opportunities to enhance product presentation and marketplace configuration, and

contribute to the overall goal of driving profitable sales growth.

  • Optimise product listings across marketplace platforms to improve visibility, conversion and

sales performance.

  • Configure products, categories, attributes, pricing, delivery settings and marketplace-specific

requirements accurately and consistently.

  • Review product content, imagery, keywords and descriptions to ensure listings are commercially

effective and aligned with customer search behaviour.

  • Support promotional activity across marketplace channels, including offers, campaigns and

seasonal trading opportunities. Paid Sponsorship Strategy

  • Support the development and delivery of paid sponsorship activity across marketplace channels to

improve product visibility, traffic and sales performance.

  • Identify suitable products and promotional opportunities for sponsored placements, using sales,

margin and marketplace performance data to inform recommendations.

  • Assist with the setup, monitoring and optimisation of paid sponsorship campaigns, ensuring

activity aligns with wider marketplace and trading objectives.

  • Provide campaign performance updates and recommendations to the Head of eCommerce, with final

sponsorship strategy, budget and campaign sign-off remaining with the Head of eCommerce. Product Launches & Governance

  • Coordinate the setup and launch of new products on marketplace channels, ensuring all required

content, data and configuration is complete before go-live.

  • Maintain clear governance around product listings, including version control, naming

conventions, content standards and approval processes.

  • Track launch performance and identify opportunities to improve product discoverability,

competitiveness and sales momentum.

  • Analyse marketplace competition to propose and implement new growth strategies including new

products, ranges and selling strategies. Performance Monitoring

  • Monitor marketplace sales performance against prior year, budget and forecast, identifying key

variances, trends and areas of opportunity.

  • Track and analyse key ecommerce and digital performance metrics, including revenue, conversion

rate, average order value, traffic, customer acquisition and channel performance.

  • Work closely with the Head of Ecommerce to communicate performance insights and agree changes to

trading, marketing activity, budgets and priorities.

  • Monitor the impact of promotional activity, campaigns and trading initiatives, using performance

data to optimise future activity and maximise sales and ROI. Marketplace Health & Compliance

  • Monitor marketplace health metrics, account performance and operational indicators to identify

and resolve issues quickly.

  • Ensure product listings comply with marketplace policies, brand standards and internal trading

requirements.

  • Maintain accurate product data, stock information and content quality to reduce listing errors

and improve customer experience.

  • Work with internal teams to investigate marketplace issues, including suppressed listings,
