Do you have a sharp editorial eye and a passion for making technical writing clear and polished? Are you ready to launch your career at a respected Northern California firm?
New and recent graduates are encouraged to apply. No engineering background is needed; we’ll teach you.
As a Technical Editor at PACE Engineering, you will help ensure the quality of our firm’s written deliverables, editing proposals, technical memoranda, engineering reports, and operations manuals from each of our in-house disciplines.
ARE YOU:
A Skilled Editor? You have a strong command of grammar, punctuation, and sentence structure, and you can improve consistency and readability without altering a document’s technical meaning.
A Quick Learner? You pick up new subject matter quickly, ask clarifying questions, and enjoy figuring out how things work.
Detail Oriented? You catch the smallest inconsistencies in spelling, grammar, punctuation, and formatting. You may even spot typos in everyday life.
Steady Under Pressure? You stay focused in a deadline-driven environment, manage multiple assignments without compromising quality, and shift gears when priorities change.
STRUCTURED MENTORSHIP
You won’t learn on your own. You will train one-on-one with our Head of Technical Editing, who will guide you through PACE’s style conventions, editing workflow, and engineering subject matter, and who will review your work and give feedback as your skills grow.
