Pacific Standard Plumbing is hiring an experienced commercial services sales professional to build new commercial plumbing service accounts across San Diego County.

This is a true hunter role focused on property management firms, HOA management companies, facilities teams, hotels, healthcare, education, retail, life sciences, industrial properties, and commercial building operators.

We do commercial plumbing service and repair only — no residential and no new construction. That focus is our advantage. We are building a high-performing commercial service company with clear positioning, strong operational support, and a major opportunity to grow in the San Diego market.

About Pacific Standard Plumbing

Pacific Standard Plumbing provides commercial plumbing service and repair throughout San Diego County. We serve commercial buildings, property managers, HOAs, hotels, healthcare facilities, schools, retail centers, industrial properties, and facilities teams that need reliable plumbing support.

Our model is simple: professional commercial service, fast response, clear communication, and strong follow-through.

We are looking for a Business Development Manager who can open doors, build relationships, win accounts, and help PSP become one of the go-to commercial plumbing partners in San Diego County.

About the Role

The right candidate is comfortable prospecting, walking into property management offices, following up consistently, attending industry events, creating opportunities, and building a book of business from the ground up.

You will have direct leadership support, back-office resources, field operations that can deliver, and a focused commercial-only offering that is easy to explain and valuable to the market.

What You’ll Do

  • Identify and pursue new commercial accounts across San Diego County
  • Build relationships with property managers, HOA management companies, facilities directors, asset managers, procurement teams, and commercial operators
  • Target accounts in commercial real estate, HOAs, hospitality, healthcare, education, retail, life sciences, industrial, and multi-site facilities
  • Own the full sales cycle: prospecting, outreach, meetings, scope walks, proposals, negotiation, and close
  • Develop and manage a consistent pipeline of qualified commercial opportunities
  • Track sales activity, prospects, and account progress through CRM
  • Attend and represent PSP at industry events including BOMA, IFMA, CAI, IREM, and other local networking opportunities
  • Partner with operations and ownership on pricing, forecasting, client expectations, and account strategy
  • Grow market share inside the accounts you win through consistent follow-up and relationship management

First 12 Months, Success Looks Like

  • Building a strong pipeline of qualified commercial opportunities
  • Winning new commercial service and repair accounts across San Diego County
  • Developing relationships with property management firms, HOA managers, facilities teams, and commercial decision-makers
  • Closing $1M+ in new annual commercial business
  • Creating a foundation for significant year-two growth

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of B2B outside sales experience
  • Experience selling commercial services, facilities services, commercial trades, property-management-facing services, or other B2B services
  • Proven ability to prospect, open doors, build relationships, and close new business
  • Track record of carrying and hitting a meaningful annual new-business quota
  • Strong follow-up, communication, proposal, and closing skills
  • Existing San Diego commercial relationships or a demonstrated ability to build a local network quickly

Preferred Qualifications

  • Existing relationships with regional or national property management firms
  • Experience selling to HOAs, commercial buildings, hotels, healthcare facilities, education, retail, industrial, or life science properties
  • Background in commercial plumbing, mechanical, HVAC, electrical, fire/life safety, janitorial, roofing, restoration, or facility services
  • Familiarity with commercial vendor onboarding, insurance requirements, compliance platforms, and procurement processes

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary: $72,486–$82,650, depending on experience
  • Commission: uncapped, paid on collected revenue
  • Ramp support available during the initial build period for the right candidate
  • Company vehicle or vehicle allowance
  • Health insurance
  • Company-provided phone and laptop
  • Client entertainment expense account
  • Direct access to ownership and operations leadership

Job Details

  • Job type: Full-time
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, with occasional early-morning, evening, or industry event availability
  • Work location: Field-based across San Diego County, with regular coordination with ownership and operations
  • Territory: San Diego County

Who Thrives at PSP

You will do well here if you are a self-starter who likes building something, not inheriting someone else’s account list.

The right person is comfortable walking into a property management office, following up relentlessly, asking smart questions, creating urgency, and earning trust over time. You do not need inbound leads to stay busy. You know how to create activity, manage a pipeline, and turn relationships into revenue.

Apply through Indeed with your resume.

In your application, tell us about a commercial account you won that you are proud of. What made it difficult, and what did you do that someone less experienced would not have done?
