Duties
- Collect, clean, and analyze data using tools such as R, Python, SQL, and Excel to identify trends and patterns that inform business strategies.
- Develop interactive dashboards and visualizations with Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar reporting tools to communicate insights effectively across teams.
- Design and optimize database structures using Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or SQL databases to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements for reports and dashboards, translating business needs into technical solutions.
- Support the software development lifecycle (SDLC) by participating in requirements analysis, testing, deployment, and maintenance of analytics solutions.
- Implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes using Talend or VBA to ensure accurate data integration from multiple sources like linked data or Unix shell scripts.
- Assist in database design and query management to improve data accessibility and reporting accuracy while adhering to best practices in data model design.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Proficiency in SQL for querying databases; familiarity with R or Python for data analysis is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of ETL processes and experience with database design principles.
- Familiarity with business intelligence concepts and dashboard development techniques.
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities combined with effective communication skills for business analysis and requirements gathering.
- Technical proficiency in tools like Visio for process modeling; experience with Bash (Unix shell), VBA, Talend, or Oracle is a plus.
