About the Role
The Recovery Project Officer - Assets plays a key role in delivering infrastructure recovery projects that restore and strengthen Parks Victoria's assets following natural disasters.
Based in Horsham, you will coordinate the delivery of recovery works across park infrastructure, assets and visitor facilities. Working across project planning, procurement, contractor coordination, compliance and reporting, you will help ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
You will work collaboratively with internal teams, contractors, Traditional Owners and other stakeholders while considering environmental, cultural heritage and community requirements. You will also contribute to continuous improvement and help build greater resilience into park infrastructure to reduce future risks.

About the Team
At Parks Victoria, our people work together to protect and manage Victoria's parks and reserves while delivering positive environmental, economic and social outcomes for the community.
The Operations and Delivery Division is responsible for on-ground park management, including visitor infrastructure and assets, conservation programs, community engagement and partnerships with Traditional Owners.
As part of the recovery program, you will collaborate across teams and stakeholder groups to:
- Deliver practical and effective recovery outcomes.
- Build respectful relationships with Traditional Owners, contractors and communities.
- Respond to changing operational priorities and emerging risks.
- Maintain strong standards of safety, governance and accountability.
- Identify opportunities to improve recovery delivery and strengthen infrastructure resilience.
We're Looking for Someone With:
- Demonstrated experience delivering operational, technical, infrastructure or asset-related projects.
- Knowledge of project management principles across planning, execution, monitoring and project closure.
- Experience in contract management, procurement and governance processes.
- Experience coordinating contractors and work programs to achieve safe and effective outcomes.
- An understanding of environmental and cultural heritage requirements relevant to public land and infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of workplace safety, risk management and compliance requirements.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to establish cooperative working relationships.
- A demonstrated commitment to respectful and inclusive engagement with Traditional Owners.
- Relevant qualifications or equivalent experience in project management, asset management or a related field.
- A current Victorian Driver's Licence.
