Peak Behavioral Health is seeking a pediatric Occupational Therapist to join its interdisciplinary clinic in Oklahoma City, OK. This position primarily consists of the following:
The Position:
- Assess individual fine and gross motor, sensory, and activities of daily living (ADL) skills
- Create comprehensive, individualized treatment plans
- Serve as a team member for multidisciplinary evaluations
- Perform small group and individual therapy based on client needs
- Provide family education and training to assist in transfer of skills
- Be willing to supervise and develop a team of COTAs as the clinic grows
- Work in an outpatient, private-practice setting
- Maintain client records
- Maintain confidentiality of patient records in according with HIPAA and State and Federal Regulations
Qualifications:
- 2+ years’ experience working with children and families in a pediatric setting
- Prior experience working with children with autism or other intellectual disabilities
- Masters or doctoral degree in occupational therapy, and be licensed in the state of Oklahoma
- Excellent communication skills with other providers and families
- Feeding experience is a plus
- Must have great problem-solving skills
- Available full-time – 40 hours/week
- Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Proficient in using technology (Must be familiar with Microsoft Word and Office and familiar with EMR systems)
- Passionate about helping children and their families
