Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM – Core HR Functional Lead
Position Type: Full Time Contract - W2 (Hourly) or 1099 or C2C Contract Duration: 16 months Location: Remote – USA Work Hours: Mountain Time Zone Travel: Approximately one week to client onsite location every two months
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM – Core HR Functional Lead for a 16-month implementation project. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on Core HR functional expertise, a minimum of 5 years of Oracle Fusion Core HR experience, and at least two Oracle Fusion Core HR implementations.
This is a client-facing lead role requiring the ability to independently manage the Core HR functional workstream, collaborate with business stakeholders, and drive implementation activities through go-live.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Oracle Fusion Core HR functional workstream, including requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, and deployment.
- Conduct functional workshops, fit-gap analysis, and solution discussions with client stakeholders.
- Configure Oracle Fusion Core HR, including enterprise structures, workforce structures, jobs, positions, grades, employment management, and employee lifecycle processes.
- Configure approval workflows, Areas of Responsibility (AOR), and HCM security.
- Collaborate with technical teams on data migration, integrations, and reporting requirements.
- Lead functional testing (SIT/UAT), issue resolution, cutover, and go-live activities.
- Serve as the primary functional point of contact for client stakeholders and provide functional leadership throughout the project.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM Core HR functional experience.
- Minimum 2 full lifecycle Oracle Fusion Core HR implementations.
- Strong expertise in Core HR configuration, business process design, workforce structures, and position management.
- Prior experience as an Oracle Fusion HCM Functional Lead or Senior Functional Consultant.
- Experience leading client workshops, functional design discussions, testing, and implementation activities.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Must be US-based, available during Mountain Time business hours, and willing to travel onsite approximately one week every two months.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior US public sector Oracle Fusion HCM implementation experience, including federal, state, county, or city government, educational institutions, or public agencies.
- K–12 school district or education sector implementation experience is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with Oracle Fusion Payroll, Benefits, and Absence Management integration touchpoints.
- Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM certification.
Pay: $75.00 - $80.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
