Engineer - Java (6)
Contract 12 months Location: Kuala Lumpur
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, and maintain Java-based enterprise applications using established technical specifications and business requirements
- Build and support applications using Java, Spring Boot, microservices, reactive programming, and RESTful/SOAP APIs
- Collaborate with system analysts, developers, and other teams to implement application features and resolve technical issues
- Write unit and integration tests and support automated testing and CI/CD processes
- Maintain code quality and security standards, including OWASP secure coding practices
- Support application deployments, production monitoring, troubleshooting, and ongoing maintenance
- Use version control and development tools such as Git, GitLab, Jenkins, and SonarQube
- Prepare technical documentation and participate in code reviews and knowledge-sharing activities
Person Specifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of production-level Java application development experience
- Experience in Java application development, preferably in a production environment
- Knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, Maven, JPA, RESTful APIs, and relational databases such as MySQL
- Familiarity with microservices, reactive programming, automated testing, CI/CD, and version control
- Understanding of secure coding practices, application monitoring, and troubleshooting
- Exposure to AWS, Linux, Kafka, Redis, or other caching and messaging technologies is advantageous
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
- Java or Oracle certifications are an added advantage
Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM7,500.00 per month
