Location: London (Office-Based; 5 Days Per Week)

Salary: £33,000–£40,000 per year, plus a bonus of up to 20% of base salary linked to on-page conversion

Reports to: Chief Product Officer

About the role

PinLocal is a leading digital lead generation and comparison business for professional services, hiring a Junior Product Manager / Analyst to take ownership of how well our websites convert. Every lead we sell and every instruction we win starts with a visitor on one of our sites, so a better page, form or booking journey is worth more than almost anything else we can do. This role exists to find those improvements, test them and prove they work.

This is not a role to run a handful of tests a year. It’s a role to run a continuous conversion programme: constantly iterating on the design, UI and UX of our conveyancing, surveying and removals sites to drive lead submissions and self-serve (on-page) instructions, measuring every change with A/B testing, and making sure everything you ship works as intended. You’ll work directly with the Chief Product Officer, learn the business quickly, and be trusted with real traffic and real revenue from early on. The right person is curious and analytical, sweats the detail, and wants a career in product.

We are looking for someone who rolls up their sleeves and is as happy doing the unglamorous work of QA and UAT as the interesting work of hypotheses and design, and who cares more about what the data says than about being right.

What you’ll own

1. The conversion testing programme - run it continuously.

You’ll own the backlog of conversion ideas across our sites and turn it into a steady stream of tests. That means finding opportunities in analytics, funnel data, session recordings and customer feedback, forming clear hypotheses, and prioritising by expected commercial impact and effort. Every test has a documented hypothesis, key metrics and expected outcomes before it launches. You’ll run tests in our A/B testing tools (Webtrends Optimize and our own internal A/B testing platform), manage sample size and duration, read out results honestly, record what we learned, and roll winners out across our brands. Our target is at least two concluded tests a month.

2. Design, UI and UX - iterate relentlessly.

You’ll propose and shape changes to page layouts, forms, copy and user journeys, with the goal of getting more visitors to submit a lead and more customers to complete an instruction on the page, without needing a phone call. You’ll produce wireframes and clear specifications, write acceptance criteria, and work with developers and designers to get approved changes built and released.

3. Self-serve conversion - move the number that matters.

A large part of our growth plan depends on more customers choosing to instruct online, in the page, at the moment they’re ready. You’ll own the journey from lead form through to booking and payment, looking for friction, testing fixes and measuring the lift. This is a core objective of the role, not a side project.

4. QA and UAT - nothing ships until it works.

Every change you propose, you’ll prove works. You’ll write test plans and run QA and UAT across devices and browsers, checking form behaviour, tracking and events as well as the visual design. You’ll sign off releases, monitor performance after launch, and raise and follow up defects with the delivery team. A broken form or missing tracking quietly costs us leads and ruins test results, so catching it before customers do is a real part of the job.

5. Reporting, product and the AI-native way of working.

You’ll report conversion performance, test outcomes and revenue impact regularly to the Chief Product Officer and wider leadership, in plain English with numbers, and what you learn about our customers will feed straight into the product roadmap. We run as an AI-native operation, so we expect you to use AI tools as a default way of working: analysing data faster, drafting hypotheses and variants, writing test plans and QA scripts, and automating the repetitive parts of reporting.

What good looks like in the first 3 months

  • Understand our sites, funnels, lead economics and testing tools, with a baseline for lead submission and self-serve instruction conversion agreed with the Chief Product Officer by the end of month 1.
  • A prioritised testing backlog, with a documented hypothesis, key metrics and expected outcome for every test.
  • At least two tests live and read out by the end of month 3, building towards two concluded tests a month.
  • A QA and UAT process in place: test plans and a sign-off checklist for every change you propose.
  • Your first winning change shipped, with its impact on conversion measured and reported.
  • A regular conversion report that product and leadership use to decide what to test next.

Who you are

  • Early in your career, ideally with 1–3 years in conversion optimisation, digital or product analysis, or UX, in an agency or in-house. Exceptional graduates who can show the same instincts will be considered.
  • Strong analytical instincts: you understand hypotheses, sample size and statistical significance, and can tell the difference between a real lift and a coincidence. Experience with an A/B testing tool such as Webtrends Optimize, VWO or Optimizely is a plus.
  • Comfortable with Google Analytics (GA4) and PostHog, and confident in Excel. SQL, Looker Studio or Power BI is a plus.
  • A good eye for design, UI and UX: you can sketch or wireframe an idea (Figma or similar), write clear, persuasive copy, and have a working understanding of how web pages are built.
  • Methodical about QA and UAT: you write test cases, check across devices and browsers, and spot what’s broken before customers do.
  • Able to turn an idea into a clear specification or user story and work well with developers and designers to get it shipped.
  • Strong critical thinking, a strong work ethic, and a genuine drive to keep improving the numbers.
  • Intellectually honest, low ego, fast to update. You want to find out what’s true more than you want to be right.
  • A clear communicator who can explain results and recommendations simply to senior colleagues.
  • Demonstrated use of AI tools in your work or studies.
  • Experience in lead generation, marketplaces, e-commerce or consumer services is a plus.
  • Happy to work in person, five days a week, in our London office.

Why this role is genuinely different

  • Real traffic and real revenue: your tests move leads and revenue in ways you can measure, and you’ll see the results, not a quarterly slide.
  • The testing infrastructure is already built, so you spend your time on ideas, analysis and design rather than setting up tools.
  • Learn product management directly from the Chief Product Officer, with exposure to roadmap and leadership decisions from the start.
  • New ownership, flat structure, and direct access to senior leadership, so your work gets seen and your decisions stick.
  • A bonus of up to 20% of base salary, linked to improvements in on-page conversion.
  • A clear path to Product Manager and beyond as we grow our products and expand into new markets, including internationally.

How to apply

Send your CV with a short note (no more than one page) covering:

  • An A/B test or experiment you designed or analysed: the hypothesis, the result and what you did next.
  • A conversion improvement you drove through a design, UX or copy change, with numbers.
  • A time your testing or QA caught a problem before it reached customers.
  • One example of how you’re using AI in your work today.
