We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Route Planner & Transport Manager to join our logistics team! Duties
- Plan and implement daily delivery routes using advanced logistics software
- Coordinate with drivers, warehouse staff, sales and management to ensure smooth execution of daily routes
- Monitor real-time delivery progress and adjust plans as needed to address traffic, weather or other unforeseen challenges
- Manage our drivers and small fleet of vans and HGVs
- Communicate effectively with customers to clarify and confirm delivery times and resolve any scheduling issues
- Manage and analyse customer delivery preferences and route performance data to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost savings
- Lead and support team members in managing logistics operations with clear communication and leadership skills
Qualifications
- Experience in logistics or supply chain roles with a focus on route planning or transportation coordination
- Familiarity with vehicle safety regulations
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel
- Exceptional communication skills to liaise confidently with team members, drivers, and customers
- Leadership qualities with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail
