PNE Controls Ltd are a dynamic, modern electrical control company committed to the production of high quality bespoke electrical design, manufacture, installation, software and support services for industrial automated systems. Located in Mansfield we are looking to add an Electrical Panel Builder to our existing team.
We are looking for an experienced Electrical Panel Builder to join our growing industrial engineering team. You will be responsible for building high quality electrical control panels used across automation, manufacturing, and industrial environments. Formal electrical qualifications are not essential — experience, accuracy, and craftsmanship are what matter most.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and wire electrical control panels to engineering drawings and wiring schematics
- Mount components, trunking, DIN rail, cable management and layout work
- Complete full wiring, termination, ferruling, and cable dressing to a high standard
- Work from electrical schematics, BOMs and layout diagrams
- Perform continuity checks, basic fault finding and functional testing
- Maintain neat, organised, and compliant panel builds
- Collaborate with engineers and production teams to meet deadlines and quality standards
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience building electrical panels in an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and wiring schematics
- Confident with cable preparation, routing, trunking, and termination
- Strong attention to detail and pride in producing clean, professional wiring
- Good understanding of industrial components (contactors, relays, power supplies, terminal blocks etc.)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable (Not Essential)
- Experience with PLC wiring (various manufactures)
- Knowledge of motor control circuits, safety relays, power supplies etc.
- Familiarity with panel standards such as BS EN 61439
- Experience with Rittal, nVent Hoffman, Electrix or similar enclosure systems
- Experience - Minimum of 3 years within the industrial electrical industry desirable.
