Ampersand Therapy is hiring dedicated Special Education Teachers to join a supportive school community for the 2026–2027 school year in Markham, IL.
Position Details
Schedule: Full-Time, In-Person Start Date: 2026-2027 School Year Setting: Elementary School
Hours: 35-37 hours per week (paid lunches) Location: Markham, IL Licensure Required: Illinois PEL with LBS1 Endorsement (must be active at time of submission)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide small group and individual instruction
- Implement IEPs and track student progress
- Attend IEP and staff meetings
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation
What We’re Looking For
- Valid Illinois PEL with LBS1 endorsement
- Passion for inclusive, student-centered instruction
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Experience in a resource room setting preferred, but not required—new graduates are welcome and will be supported with mentoring
