Operations Head (Reinsurance Operations Manager)
About the role;
Polaris Reinsurance Brokers, Inc., places treaty and facultative reinsurance for Philippine insurers with local and foreign reinsurers. We are looking for a hands-on leader to run our operations team. You will own the full account cycle, from quotation to placement, renewal and claims, and make sure our clients are served accurately and on time. If you have built your career in non-life insurance or reinsurance and are ready to lead a team, we want to hear from you.
What you'll do;
- Run the daily workflow for treaty and facultative placements: slips, quotations, cover notes, endorsements, debit and credit notes.
- Keep the renewal calendar current so no account lapses without action.
- Check placement documents for correct terms, shares, premiums and commissions before they go out.
- Be the senior contact for cedants, reinsurers and co-brokers on placement and servicing issues.
- Oversee claims notification, documentation and recovery follow-up with reinsurers.
- Work with Finance on premium collections, remittances and account reconciliation.
- Lead, train and evaluate the team; set turnaround standards and keep procedures documented.
- Report production, renewals and pending items to management, and keep records audit-ready and compliant with Insurance Commission rules.
What you need;
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Insurance or a related field.
- At least 5 years in reinsurance, reinsurance broking, or non-life insurance (underwriting, reinsurance department or policy servicing).
- At least 2 years supervising or leading a team.
- Working knowledge of treaty and facultative reinsurance, or of how insurers cede risk to reinsurers.
- Good command of MS Excel
- Organized and detail-oriented.
Nice to have;
- Experience at a reinsurance broker or reinsurer.
Pay: Php75,000.00 - Php110,000.00 per month
