Summary Provost & Pritchard is looking for a motivated candidate to join our Geostructural team. Our Geostructural division works on wine cave tunnel complexes, private residential tunnels, water-district tunnels and canals, and earth-retention structures.
Duties
Candidates must show an understanding of basic civil engineering principles and be able to apply their knowledge in a practical manner.
- Perform engineering calculations for tunnel and retaining wall design with the support of and under the direction of a licensed engineer
- Assist in the preparation of construction drawings using AutoCAD
- Prepare design reports
- Perform construction inspections
- Carry out additional responsibilities assigned by designated personnel
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Geotechnical, or Geological Engineering
- 0-3 years of experience preparing engineering calculations and conducting research
- Experience with AutoCAD; Civil 3D a plus
- Written and oral communication skills
- Exceptional problem-solving skills
- Team player with service-oriented (client focused) mentality
- Motivated self-starter
- EIT obtained or in progress highly desired
- Goal to become a licensed professional engineer within 3 years of hire
