At Wow Sleep, part of the sleep Group, we're looking for a motivated and hands-on Production Manager to join our manufacturing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced production environment, enjoys developing people and is passionate about delivering high standards of quality, safety and efficiency.
As our Production Manager, you'll play a key role in ensuring our manufacturing operations run smoothly, leading your team to achieve production targets while continuously looking for ways to improve how we work.
What you'll be doing
Leading and developing your team – Creating a positive, high-performing environment where people feel supported, motivated and accountable.
Managing daily production – Overseeing production schedules, resources and workflows to ensure we deliver against business and customer requirements.
Driving continuous improvement – Identifying opportunities to improve productivity, reduce waste, minimise downtime and make our processes more efficient.
Championing health, safety and quality – Ensuring our operations meet the highest standards and that safety remains at the heart of everything we do.
Delivering results – Monitoring performance against key targets and taking a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
Working collaboratively – Building strong relationships across the business, including Quality, Procurement, Engineering and Logistics, to keep production running effectively.
Planning for success – Supporting longer-term operational improvements and helping shape the future of our manufacturing operations.
What we're looking for
We're looking for someone who combines strong manufacturing experience with great people leadership skills. You'll be confident making decisions, comfortable working in a busy environment and always looking for opportunities to improve.
Ideally, you'll bring:
Proven experience in a Production Manager or similar leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
A strong track record of leading, motivating and developing production teams.
Experience managing production targets, performance, quality and operational efficiency.
A good understanding of health and safety requirements and manufacturing best practices.
A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the confidence to challenge existing ways of working.
Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work effectively across different departments.
Experience of continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles.
Experience within the mattress, furniture or a similar high-volume manufacturing environment would be an advantage.
