About the Role
PRR Fresh Produce Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a Transport Executive to manage and coordinate day-to-day transportation operations. The candidate will be responsible for vehicle planning, driver coordination, dispatch monitoring, delivery tracking, transporter coordination and ensuring timely movement of fresh produce and other goods.
The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse, logistics, FMCG, F&V or quick-commerce environment and should have strong coordination and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate daily vehicle deployment as per dispatch requirements.
- Coordinate with drivers, transporters and fleet vendors for timely vehicle placement.
- Monitor vehicle reporting, loading, dispatch and delivery schedules.
- Track vehicles during transit and ensure timely deliveries.
- Handle delays, breakdowns, route deviations and other transportation issues.
- Coordinate with warehouse and operations teams for smooth loading and dispatch.
- Ensure proper collection and submission of PODs, trip sheets and other transport documents.
- Maintain daily transport MIS and vehicle movement records.
- Monitor vehicle utilization, turnaround time and delivery performance.
- Coordinate with transport vendors regarding vehicle availability and operational issues.
- Ensure vehicle and driver documentation is valid and updated.
- Monitor vehicle cleanliness, safety and suitability for transportation of fresh produce.
- Coordinate replacement vehicles in case of breakdowns or vehicle shortages.
- Support transportation cost control by reducing unnecessary trips, waiting time and empty running.
- Prepare daily/weekly reports related to vehicle deployment, deliveries, delays and exceptions.
- Escalate major operational issues to the Transport Manager/Operations Manager.

Required Skills
- Good knowledge of transportation and fleet operations.
- Strong coordination and follow-up skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and transport MIS.
- Ability to handle multiple vehicles and drivers simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict timelines.
- Good understanding of routes and local transportation operations.
- Vendor and driver management skills.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts, weekends and holidays as required.
Qualification
- Graduate in any discipline.
- Diploma/Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or Transport Management will be an added advantage.
Experience
1–4 years of relevant experience in:
- Transport & Logistics
- Fleet Management
- Warehouse Operations
- FMCG
- Fresh Produce / F&V
- E-commerce
- Quick Commerce
- 3PL / Distribution Centre operations
Candidates with experience in high-volume transportation or last-mile delivery operations will be preferred.
