Job Description:
The Global Equity Analyst conducts in-depth research and financial analysis of listed companies to support informed investment decisions. The role includes evaluating financial statements, analysing industry trends, building valuation models, and preparing investment recommendations to assist the investment team in identifying opportunities and managing portfolio risk. This role will be a part of the PSG Asset Management Investment team.
Responsibilities:
- Buy-side equity analyst role as a sector generalist
- Conduct fundamental research and build financial models
- Own, monitor and update investment theses
- Generate original, high-quality investment ideas
- Present research and recommendations to Investment Committee
- Maintain high-quality coverage of assigned companies
Minimum requirements:
- Qualification: Engineering, Actuarial Science, Accounting or Business Science degree
- CFA qualification is an advantage
- 3-9 years' experience in equity research or investment analysis
- Strong financial statement analysis, corporate finance, valuation and model-building skills (Excel skills key)
- Able to form independent investment views and defend them
- Effective communicator (written and verbal) in English
Preferred Qualification:
- CA(SA) or post graduate degree is an advantage
- Experience in global public equities a strong advantage
