We help U.S. state and local government agencies plan, procure, and deliver complex technology and business transformation programs. Role Overview: We are hiring a remote, India-based Proposal Technical Writer to be the core writer on the proposals Pyxis MCG submits to U.S. public sector agencies. You will turn RFP requirements, subject-matter input, and past performance into clear, compliant, persuasive responses. You will work daily with our U.S. business development, delivery, and leadership teams. Strong writing is the heart of this role; proposal coordination and schedule management round it out. Flexibility to work overlapping hours with U.S. time zones is essential. Key Responsibilities: Technical Writing: Write, edit, and polish proposal sections: executive summaries, technical and management approaches, staffing plans, past performance, and corporate qualifications

  • Translate input from subject-matter experts into clear, concise, and persuasive narrative tailored to each agency's goals
  • Review and interpret RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, statements of work, government policies, regulations, and budget documents
  • Ensure consistent voice, terminology, formatting, and win themes across every volume
  • Shred solicitations and build compliance matrices and response outlines
  • Develop and track proposal schedules, assignments, and review cycles (e.g., Pink, Red, Gold Team)
  • Coordinate contributors across time zones and support multiple proposals with competing deadlines
  • Conduct research and competitive analysis to support strategic positioning and win themes
  • Perform final quality checks for compliance, accuracy, and submission readiness

Collaboration: Join regular calls with the U.S. team during overlapping hours

  • Partner with business development, proposal leads, and graphics support to produce clean, well-formatted deliverables
  • Capture lessons learned after each submission to improve future responses

Required Qualifiaction: Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Business, Public Administration, or a related field

  • 4+ years of experience in proposal writing, technical writing, or proposal management, preferably in a professional services or consulting environment
  • Excellent written English: research, analytical, writing, and editing skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear, professional deliverables
  • Demonstrated ability to review and interpret government documents, policies, regulations, budgets, or procurement materials with strong attention to detail
  • Experience with strategic positioning, competitive analysis, and proposal development
  • Strong organizational and project management skills; proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed, cross-functional team
  • Strong internet research skills and creative problem solving
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio), with the ability to produce clean, well-formatted documents
  • Clear verbal communication and comfort working directly with U.S.-based colleagues

Preferred Qualifications: Experience writing proposals for U.S. federal, state, or local government agencies (California state experience is a strong plus)

  • Familiarity with U.S. public sector procurement: RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, Statements of Qualifications, and state master service agreements
  • Knowledge of public sector domains such as IT modernization, organizational change management, project management oversight, or independent verification and validation (IV&V)
  • Prior work with an offshore or distributed team supporting U.S. clients
  • APMP Foundation certification or equivalent proposal training
  • Experience using AI writing tools responsibly to speed up drafting and research
  • Familiarity with SharePoint, Adobe Acrobat, and collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams

Work Schedule and Flexibility: This is a fully remote role based in India, working closely with a U.S. team. Flexibility is essential.* Regular overlap of 3 - 4 hours with U.S. business hours (typically early morning or late evening IST)
