Assistant Project Manager – Civil Construction
Location: Leesburg, VA Job Type: Direct Hire Salary: Starting at $73,000, with higher compensation based on experience
Position Overview
We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager – Civil Construction to support the planning, coordination, and execution of civil construction projects. The ideal candidate will have experience with construction estimating, project coordination, or project management and a strong understanding of construction methods, scheduling, and contract administration.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field with 2–3 years of construction project management experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in civil construction estimating, project coordination, or project management.
- Understanding of construction means, methods, scheduling, and contract administration.
- Experience coordinating subcontracted and self-performed work.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and construction management software.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to travel to project sites as required.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and navigate active construction sites, including stairs and ladders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with IDIQ, design-build, or task-order construction projects.
- Experience with government or federal construction contracts.
- OSHA 30 certification.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Construction Quality Management (CQM/CQC) certification.
- Engineer in Training (EIT), Associate Constructor (AC), or similar industry credential.
