Parts Loader / Unloader – Steel Fabrication
Location: Ashland, VA Job Type: Contract-to-Hire Pay Rate: Starting at $20/hour; higher pay may be available depending on experience.
Position Overview
We are hiring a Parts Loader / Unloader to support daily production at a steel fabrication facility. This role focuses on handling raw steel materials and finished components used in laser cutting operations.
Responsibilities
- Load steel sheets and plates onto laser cutting tables and unload completed parts.
- Assist laser operators with moving materials, staging jobs, and organizing cut components.
- Sort and move parts based on job orders and production requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Qualifications
- Manufacturing or steel fabrication experience preferred.
- Ability to handle heavy materials and perform physical work throughout the shift.
- Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to follow instructions.
- Experience operating material-handling equipment is a plus.
