Senior Commercial Construction Superintendent
Location: Leesburg, VA office; projects in Washington, DC Job Type: Direct Hire Starting Salary: $127,000/year — higher compensation available based on experience
Position Overview
Seeking an experienced Senior Superintendent to lead field operations on commercial and government construction projects. This position oversees subcontractors and field crews while ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and to quality standards.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizen and able to obtain a security clearance
- Associate degree in Construction Management, Building Construction, or related field
- 10–15 years of Superintendent experience with a general contractor on commercial or institutional projects
- 7+ years of government contracting experience
- Proven experience managing ground-up commercial construction projects, not only renovations
- Experience using spreadsheets, email, and construction industry software
- Current OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, and CQC certification issued by USACE/NAVFAC
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift and handle 50 lbs.
- Physically able to walk active job sites and regularly climb ladders and stairs to inspect work, direct subcontractors and field crews, and maintain safety and quality standards
Preferred
- Experience overseeing projects valued at $10M–$40M
- Strong background managing commercial and government construction projects
