Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain cross-platform mobile applications using React Native and Expo.
- Define and evolve mobile application architecture, including navigation, state management, and reusable components.
- Integrate mobile applications with REST APIs and backend services
- Implement authentication, authorization, secure data storage, and session management.
- Develop features using native capabilities such as location, camera, push notifications, and device storage.
- Handle offline scenarios, caching, and data synchronization.
- Optimize application performance, stability, and resource usage.
- Troubleshoot and resolve defects, crashes, and platform-specific issues.
- Write and maintain unit and UI tests.
- Lead code reviews and contribute to mobile coding standards and best practices.
- Use GitHub Copilot and other approved AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity, while ensuring code quality and correctness.
- Mentor mid-level and junior developers and collaborate with Product, QA, and Backend teams.
Qualifications
- At least 6 years of professional software development experience, of which at least 4 years with React Native.
- Practical experience with Expo and the Expo ecosystem.
- Very good knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Good understanding of React concepts, hooks, component architecture, and state management (e.g. Redux Toolkit, Zustand, React Query).
- Experience with mobile navigation, local storage, and asynchronous data handling.
- Good understanding of iOS and Android platform differences and the mobile application lifecycle.
- Experience integrating with REST APIs and implementing authentication and secure storage.
- Experience with debugging and performance optimization of mobile applications.
- Experience with mobile testing tools (e.g. Jest, React Native Testing Library).
- Practical experience using GitHub Copilot or similar AI-assisted development tools, while maintaining responsibility for code quality and correctness.
- Experience with Git and code review processes.
- Good communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills
