**About the role

Join the Cardiology Program at The Prince Charles Hospital as a Principal House Officer, delivering high\-quality medical care within a leading specialist cardiology service. This role provides an excellent opportunity to further develop clinical expertise in cardiology while contributing to the assessment, management, and ongoing care of patients with a broad range of cardiovascular conditions.

You will work closely with cardiology consultants, registrars, junior medical officers, and multidisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care, support clinical decision\-making, and ensure safe, effective, and patient\-centred outcomes. The role also offers opportunities to participate in teaching, research, quality improvement activities, and the supervision of junior medical staff as part of your ongoing professional development.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

Provide comprehensive assessment, management, and ongoing care for patients within the Cardiology Program

Coordinate investigations, treatment plans, referrals, and multidisciplinary care to optimise patient outcomes

Supervise and support junior medical staff and medical students while contributing to a positive learning environment

Participate in clinical audit, quality improvement, patient safety, and research activities

Demonstrate excellent communication, clinical judgement, and professionalism in all aspects of patient care
