Your mission

  • Funding Screening & Pipeline: You systematically identify relevant national and European funding programmes and calls, particularly in AI, digitalisation and rail freight. You assess their relevance to Rail-Flow’s roadmap and growth, check their eligibility and maintain a prioritised funding pipeline with clear deadlines.
  • Funding Applications: You prepare presentations and project outlines for planned innovation and research projects and develop them into full applications, including project descriptions and financing plans. You align all of it closely with Product, Finance and management.
  • Management of Funded Projects: You make sure formal requirements and deadlines are met throughout the project phase. You own interim and final reports, fund drawdowns and proof-of-use documentation, working closely with the project lead and Finance.
  • Consortium & Project Partners: You build and maintain relationships with research institutions, associations, project management agencies and industry partners. During the application phase, you coordinate consortium building and the collaboration between project partners.
  • ESG & Impact Reporting: You make Rail-Flow’s impact measurable and usable as evidence for funding applications. To do this, you own the operational impact reporting. You collect and aggregate customer data, develop the extrapolation logic, and quantify CO₂ savings and modal shift effects. The results also feed into ESG reports and investor relations, and you coordinate with external ESG partners.
  • ISO Compliance & Audit Readiness:You support Rail-Flow’s ISO 9001 management system across two certification cycles per year (Dutch entity and German-Turkish entities). You keep process documentation current and consistent. You prepare audit evidence and documentation packages for internal and external audits.

Your profile

  • You hold a Master’s degree (or a comparable qualification), for example in logistics, industrial engineering, engineering, computer science, economics, sustainability or political science, and you have a strong academic working style.
  • You have at least 3 years of professional experience. Ideal backgrounds are funding consultancy, a research institute or university chair working with third-party funding, an industry association, or sustainability or strategy consulting.
  • You have initial hands-on experience in writing funding applications for national or EU programmes (e.g. Horizon Europe).
  • You are strongly analytical and data-literate. You are comfortable structuring incomplete data sets and building robust estimation logic.
  • You grasp complex technical topics such as AI or rail logistics quickly and translate them into compelling written content.
  • You work in a structured, detail-oriented way and enjoy turning complex processes into clear, consistent documentation.
  • You meet deadlines reliably and have a basic understanding of budget planning.
  • You have excellent written and spoken German and English.
