Role Summary

The Microsoft 365 Consultant designs, implements, optimizes, and supports Microsoft 365 solutions that improve collaboration, productivity, automation, and the modern workplace experience for Rapid Circle customers. The consultant works closely with business stakeholders, project teams, and technical specialists to deliver secure, governed, and user-focused solutions across SharePoint Online, Power Automate, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft 365 Apps.

The role combines hands-on technical delivery with consulting skills, customer engagement, documentation, knowledge transfer, and continuous service improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Microsoft 365 Consulting and Solution Delivery

  • Design and implement Microsoft 365 solutions aligned with customer business and technical requirements.
  • Lead discovery workshops, requirement-gathering sessions, and solution-design discussions.
  • Advise customers on Microsoft 365 adoption, governance, security, and operational best practices.
  • Support digital workplace transformation initiatives and contribute to Microsoft 365 roadmaps and solution architecture.
  • Create clear technical documentation, user guidance, and handover materials.

SharePoint Online

  • Design, configure, and deploy SharePoint Online communication sites, team sites, intranets, and collaboration solutions.
  • Implement information architecture, document management, metadata, content types, permissions, and site templates.
  • Configure governance controls and support integrations with Teams, Power Platform, and other Microsoft 365 services.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize SharePoint Online solutions and user experiences.

Power Platform and Automation

  • Design and build business-process automation using Power Automate, including approvals, notifications, and scheduled workflows.
  • Build or enhance Power Apps solutions where required to support business processes.
  • Integrate Power Platform solutions with SharePoint, Teams, Exchange, Microsoft 365, and approved third-party services.
  • Apply sound governance, environment management, solution lifecycle, error handling, and support practices.
  • Identify opportunities for reusable automation and operational efficiency.

Microsoft Teams and Collaboration

  • Configure and support Microsoft Teams collaboration environments, channels, apps, meetings, and document experiences.
  • Implement Teams governance, lifecycle, security, and compliance configurations.
  • Improve collaboration through Teams-based workflows, integrations, and adoption guidance.
  • Troubleshoot complex Teams and cross-workload collaboration issues.

Operations and Continuous Improvement

  • Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support across Microsoft 365 workloads and drive complex issues to resolution.
  • Work within ITSM-aligned incident, problem, change, release, and knowledge-management processes.
  • Use PowerShell and other approved tools to automate administration, reporting, and repeatable operational tasks.
  • Maintain technical documentation, knowledge articles, standard operating procedures, and support runbooks.
  • Monitor the Microsoft 365 roadmap and help customers evaluate and roll out relevant new capabilities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional and global delivery teams and mentor colleagues when required.

Required Skills and Experience

Capability

Expectation

Core Microsoft 365

Strong hands-on experience with SharePoint Online, Power Automate, Microsoft Teams, Exchange Online, and Microsoft 365 Apps.

Power Platform

Practical experience with Power Apps and the broader Power Platform ecosystem; exposure to Power BI is beneficial.

Identity and security

Good understanding of Microsoft Entra ID, identity and access management, Microsoft 365 security, compliance, and governance concepts.

Automation

Experience using PowerShell for administration, reporting, and automation.

Consulting delivery

Experience delivering Microsoft 365 projects, workshops, technical guidance, troubleshooting, and customer engagements in enterprise environments.

Communication

Strong written and verbal English, with the ability to explain technical concepts in clear business language.

Ways of working

Ability to manage priorities, work independently, collaborate across teams, and take ownership through closure.

Professional Experience

  • Typically 3-7+ years of relevant experience working with Microsoft 365 technologies.
  • Hands-on experience delivering Microsoft 365 solutions and supporting enterprise customers.
  • Experience conducting workshops, training sessions, demonstrations, and stakeholder presentations.
  • Experience operating in project, managed-service, or consulting environments.

Education and Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Microsoft certifications such as MS-900, MS-700, MS-102, PL-900, PL-200, PL-400, or SC-300 are desirable.
  • Current role-based certifications and evidence of continuous learning are an advantage.
