Job Description
The successful GP will provide high-quality, patient-centred medical care, including assessment and management of acute and chronic conditions, preventive health care, health assessments, referrals and ongoing patient care. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing comprehensive GP consultations and clinical assessments
- Diagnosing and managing acute and chronic conditions
- Providing preventive health care and patient education
- Ordering and reviewing pathology and imaging
- Referring patients to specialists and allied health providers as appropriate
- Maintaining accurate and confidential medical records
- Providing appropriate follow-up and continuity of care
- Working collaboratively with doctors, nurses and practice staff
- Maintaining compliance with Australian clinical, professional and privacy requirements The position offers flexible working hours, with part-time or full-time opportunities available.
Essential selection criteria
Essential Selection Criteria:
- VR GP with current AHPRA registration
- FRACGP/FACRRM or equivalent
- Eligible for a Medicare Provider Number for the practice location
- Strong clinical and communication skills
- Commitment to patient-centred, high-quality care
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
- Current professional indemnity insurance and commitment to CPD
