We are URGENTLY recruiting for a Catering Manager to join our awesome team. The unit is in the *Potchefstroom, North West. Please only apply if you live in the specified area.
The Catering Manager will be responsible for monitoring the quality of the food, service and making sure that the business unit performs well.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily kitchen and catering operations
- Manage staff, rosters, training and performance;
- Ensure excellent food quality, presentation and customer service
- Maintain food safety, hygiene and HACCP standards
- Manage stock control, food cost, budgets and GP targets
- Ensure menu compliance and portion control
- Maintain professoinal relationships with clients
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of Chef and Catering Management experience;
- Matric certificate or relevant experience - focus on intermediate literacy and numerical abilities;
- Experience in retirement village or institutional catering will be advantageous;
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Excellent knowledge of stock control, costing and kitchen administration;
- Computer literacy;
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines;
- Good knowledge of menu planning;
- Good knowledge of roles and responsibilities within the unit.
