**OVERVIEW**
The C\# Trading Systems Developer will play a pivotal role in the development and enhancement of critical components within the Global Trading Solutions Electronic FX (EFX) Trading Platform. This position focuses on creating and maintaining low\-latency trading systems using C\# .NET, ensuring seamless integration for market data distribution and electronic trade flows while leading the migration of backend utility services to in\-house systems.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in C\# .NET development and a strong understanding of financial markets and electronic trading systems. They will thrive in a collaborative environment, working closely with stakeholders across multiple applications to execute migration activities while maintaining business continuity. Strong analytical skills and the ability to mentor junior developers will be key to success in this role.
Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid)
Contract Length: Until March 1, 2027, with extension and FTE conversion possibilities
Hours: 9am\-5pm ET, flexible for contractors in other time zones
T4 $85\-87 / IC: $95\-100
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
* Design and develop robust software solutions for GTS’s trading systems. * Devise new algorithms and data structures that align with architectural patterns for the target environment and platform attributes. * Create thorough test cases to ensure software stability and reliability. * Collaborate with other teams to research and implement changes to the trading system. * Communicate with operations teams regarding new features and existing strategy behaviors. * Support production issues by independently completing root\-cause analysis and diagnosis. * Process various business requirements with minimal guidance, derive implementation proposals, and execute them with a team or individually. * Mentor junior developers to enhance their skills and knowledge.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
* 7\+ years of professional C\# .NET development experience. * Strong technical expertise in optimizing software performance and reducing latency. * Familiarity with the FIX protocol is essential. * Demonstrated strong analytical and problem\-solving skills. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an eagerness to ask questions and clearly explain ideas. * Proven collaborative and team\-oriented skills. * Strong multi\-threaded programming skills. * In\-depth understanding of financial markets and electronic trading systems.
**TECHNICAL SKILLS**
* C\# .NET development * Multi\-threaded programming * FIX protocol
**PREFERRED**
* BA/BS degree in Computer Science. * Familiarity with Broadway FX. * Experience with Java. * Previous experience with FI/BMO.
