About the Role

The Application Specialist – ROP Device is responsible for delivering effective product demonstrations to doctors and healthcare professionals, ensuring a clear understanding of the device, its features, and clinical benefits.

This role plays a critical part in supporting the sales team through impactful demonstrations, user training, and on-ground clinical support, including installation and troubleshooting in hospital settings. Strong communication skills and hands-on device expertise are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver confident and effective product demonstrations to doctors, hospitals, and clinics
  • Clearly explain device features, clinical benefits, and workflow to healthcare professionals
  • Travel extensively to conduct demos and customer meetings across assigned regions
  • Support the sales team in customer acquisition and conversion through impactful demonstrations
  • Provide on-site training to doctors, nurses, and technicians on device usage
  • Assist in device installation, setup, and initial onboarding at customer locations
  • Address customer queries and provide technical and clinical clarifications
  • Build strong knowledge of ophthalmic products, competitors, and clinical workflows
  • Coordinate with internal teams to share feedback, resolve issues, and drive improvements

Technical Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of ROP (Retinopathy of Prematurity) screening and diagnosis workflow
  • Ability to perform and demonstrate live imaging procedures on neonatal patients
  • Understanding of fundus imaging, image capture techniques, and quality optimization

Eligibility Criteria

  • Bachelor’s degree in Optometry or a related field
  • Freshers with a strong optometry background and knowledge of ROP (Retinopathy of Prematurity) are encouraged to apply
  • Prior experience in ophthalmic devices or clinical applications is an added advantage
