This position will begin as a part\-time role but is intentionally designed to grow into a full\-time Operations Manager position as Hopkins Market expands.
**About the Role**
This is the operational backbone of Hopkins Market.
Working alongside our General Manager, you will own the systems that keep the market running efficiently. From purchasing and inventory management to pricing, merchandising, vendor relationships, and operational processes, you'll help ensure our guests always find a well\-stocked, well\-priced, and beautifully presented market.

**Primary Responsibilities**
You will be responsible for:
* Purchasing and placing product orders across multiple vendors * Maintaining appropriate inventory levels while minimizing waste * Building and managing vendor relationships * Receiving deliveries and verifying inventory * Maintaining accurate inventory records * Updating product pricing within the Clover POS system * Ensuring shelf pricing and signage remain accurate * Conducting routine inventory counts and reconciliations * Monitoring inventory turns, margins, and product performance * Coordinating seasonal purchasing and merchandising strategies * Analyzing sales trends and recommending product changes * Creating and maintaining efficient operational systems * Working closely with the General Manager to coordinate front\-of\-house operations * Supporting promotions, merchandising, and new product launches * Assisting with continuous improvement as Hopkins Market continues to grow
**What We're Looking For**
Ideal candidates will have experience in one or more of the following:
* Grocery store operations * Farm market operations * Retail management * Purchasing and procurement * Inventory management * Merchandising * Restaurant or food service purchasing * Vendor management * Retail operations leadership
Experience with Clover POS is highly preferred.
Strong Excel and computer skills are important, along with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
Most importantly, we're looking for someone who takes ownership, enjoys solving problems, pays close attention to detail, and wants to help build an outstanding business.
Schedule
* Approximately 20 hours per week to start * Hybrid schedule with both onsite and remote work * Weekend availability is required, as weekends are our busiest time * Position expected to grow into a full\-time leadership role
Physical Requirements
This position requires the ability to:
* Lift up to 50 pounds * Stand and walk for extended periods * Receive and organize deliveries * Work in refrigerated and freezer environments * Occasionally work outdoors in varying weather conditions
