Overview
Revelia is seeking an experienced Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead the company’s technology vision, product engineering, AI capabilities, platform architecture, technical execution, and technology organization.
The CTO will work closely with founders and functional leaders to ensure Revelia’s technology strategy supports product innovation, user growth, scalability, operational efficiency, and an exceptional consumer experience.
This role requires a senior technology leader who combines strong technical judgment with strategic thinking and execution discipline and is comfortable operating in a fast-moving, AI-enabled consumer technology environment.
The CTO will help define Revelia’s long-term technical roadmap while ensuring that Engineering, AI, Product, Data, Infrastructure, Security, and related technology functions remain aligned with the company’s business and product priorities.
Key ResponsibilitiesTechnology Vision & Strategy
- Define and execute Revelia’s technology vision and technical strategy in alignment with company goals and product priorities.
- Translate business and product objectives into scalable technology roadmaps, architecture decisions, engineering priorities, and investment requirements.
- Advise founders and senior leadership on technology opportunities, risks, tradeoffs, priorities, and strategic decisions.
- Establish a scalable technical foundation that supports product innovation, customer growth, and international expansion.
- Evaluate existing platforms, systems, architecture, and development practices to identify areas for improvement.
- Balance speed of innovation with scalability, reliability, security, maintainability, and operational efficiency.
- Ensure long-term technical decisions support both immediate product needs and future growth.
Product Engineering Leadership
- Lead the technical strategy and execution behind Revelia’s consumer-facing digital products.
- Partner closely with Product, Design, AI, Growth, Marketing, and Operations teams to translate product vision into technical solutions.
- Guide development across mobile applications, web platforms, backend systems, APIs, subscription capabilities, payments, analytics, and third-party integrations.
- Ensure engineering teams deliver high-quality, reliable, scalable, and maintainable products.
- Establish clear technical priorities, development standards, engineering practices, and architectural principles.
- Improve product development speed and delivery predictability while maintaining strong technical quality.
- Support product launches, feature releases, platform improvements, and major technology initiatives.
AI & Emerging Technology Leadership
- Provide technical leadership for Revelia’s AI-powered product capabilities.
- Work closely with Product and AI teams to identify opportunities where AI can meaningfully improve personalization, user experience, engagement, and operational capabilities.
- Guide the development, integration, and evolution of AI-enabled features within Revelia’s products.
- Evaluate AI technologies, platforms, models, APIs, and third-party solutions based on business value, performance, reliability, scalability, and cost.
- Establish appropriate engineering and technical practices around AI integration and deployment.
- Ensure AI capabilities are developed with appropriate attention to quality, reliability, performance, and user experience.
- Continuously evaluate emerging technologies that may strengthen Revelia’s products or technology foundation.
Technology Architecture & Scalability
- Own the evolution of Revelia’s technology architecture.
- Ensure systems are designed to support increasing product usage, user growth, data volumes, and business complexity.
- Guide architecture decisions across mobile, web, backend services, APIs, databases, cloud infrastructure, analytics, AI services, and third-party integrations.
- Identify technical debt, scalability risks, and architectural bottlenecks before they become significant business problems.
- Establish appropriate technical standards, documentation, architecture principles, and review processes.
- Improve system performance, reliability, resilience, and maintainability as Revelia grows.
- Make informed build-versus-buy decisions for key technology capabilities.
Engineering Execution & Delivery
- Establish clear engineering priorities, roadmaps, milestones, owners, dependencies, and delivery expectations.
- Improve visibility and predictability across product and technology initiatives.
- Ensure technical projects and product development initiatives are executed effectively.
- Identify resource constraints, technical dependencies, delivery risks, and engineering bottlenecks.
- Work with engineering and product teams to resolve critical issues and maintain delivery momentum.
- Establish appropriate technical review, release, QA, testing, and deployment processes.
- Build a disciplined execution culture without creating unnecessary process or bureaucracy.
Team Leadership & Organization Development
- Provide leadership and strategic direction to Engineering, AI, and other technical teams.
- Build a high-performing technology organization with clear roles, responsibilities, ownership, and accountability.
- Recruit, develop, mentor, and retain strong technical leaders and engineers.
- Establish appropriate organizational structures as Revelia’s technology needs evolve.
- Create a culture of technical excellence, innovation, ownership, transparency, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Identify capability gaps and determine whether they should be addressed through hiring, training, vendors, partnerships, or technology solutions.
- Develop technical leadership capacity throughout the organization.
Data & Analytics
- Ensure Revelia has a scalable and reliable technical foundation for product and business data.
- Support development of analytics capabilities that improve understanding of user behavior, product performance, engagement, and business outcomes.
- Partner with Product, Growth, Marketing, Operations, and leadership teams to ensure access to reliable and actionable data.
- Support appropriate data architecture, governance, ownership, quality, consistency, and accessibility.
- Ensure data capabilities can support both current reporting requirements and future product innovation.
Security, Reliability & Technology Risk
- Ensure technology architecture and engineering practices appropriately address security, reliability, resilience, and technology risk.
- Identify and manage technical risks across applications, infrastructure, data, integrations, AI capabilities, and third-party platforms.
- Support appropriate access management, business continuity, disaster recovery, and system reliability practices.
- Establish technical controls appropriate for a growing technology organization without unnecessarily slowing product development.
- Ensure significant technical risks are communicated clearly to founders and leadership.
- Evaluate major technology vendors and platforms from technical, operational, performance, and risk perspectives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Product, Engineering, AI, Design, Marketing, Growth, Operations, Customer Support, Finance, and other business functions.
- Serve as the bridge between product vision, business objectives, and technical execution.
- Help leadership understand technology capabilities, constraints, risks, dependencies, and tradeoffs.
- Partner with Product leadership to determine priorities and sequencing of major product and technology initiatives.
- Facilitate alignment when technology initiatives involve multiple teams or competing priorities.
- Drive accountability and clear ownership across major cross-functional technology initiatives.
Technology Investment & Vendor Management
- Evaluate technology platforms, cloud services, AI tools, vendors, development tools, third-party integrations, and strategic technology partnerships.
- Ensure technology investments are aligned with product priorities and expected business outcomes.
- Identify opportunities to improve technology efficiency and reduce unnecessary complexity or cost.
- Support resource-allocation and technology investment decisions.
- Provide clear recommendations to leadership regarding major technology decisions.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of professional technology experience, including significant senior technology leadership experience.
- Experience in roles such as CTO, VP Engineering, VP Technology, Head of Engineering, Head of Technology, CIO, or similar senior technology positions.
- Proven experience defining and executing product and technology strategy.
- Strong understanding of software engineering, product development, system architecture, cloud infrastructure, APIs, data, integrations, and technology operations.
- Experience working with AI-enabled products or AI-driven technology initiatives.
- Experience leading development of consumer technology platforms, SaaS products, mobile applications, or digital products.
- Proven experience building and leading engineering or technology teams.
- Strong understanding of scalable architecture, technical debt management, reliability, security, and platform performance.
- Demonstrated ability to translate business and product objectives into technical strategies and execution plans.
- Strong cross-functional leadership and stakeholder-management experience.
- Experience working directly with founders, CEOs, CXOs, or senior business leaders.
- Strong strategic, analytical, problem-solving, prioritization, and decision-making capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to explain complex technology decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving environment with evolving priorities.

Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Engineering, Technology, or a related discipline.
- Master’s degree, MBA, or equivalent postgraduate qualification is preferred but not mandatory.
- Relevant certifications in cloud, security, architecture, data, AI, Agile, or technology leadership are advantageous.
