Location: Mill Road Distribution Centre, Mill Road, Rugby, CV21 1PR (on site)

Pay: From £12.71 per hour, negotiable depending on relevant experience and skills.

Company overview

Rexville Solutions Limited has over 10 years of experience providing warehousing, e-commerce fulfilment and last-mile delivery services. We support cross-border sellers operating on platforms such as Amazon and eBay and operate distribution centres across the UK Midlands and Germany.

About the role

We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Warehouse Team Leader to support the day-to-day operations of our Rugby (RB) distribution centre. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager / Operations Manager, you will lead warehouse colleagues, organise daily workloads and help deliver accurate, safe and timely goods-in, fulfilment and dispatch operations.

This is a warehouse-floor leadership role. You must be willing to take part in practical warehouse work as well as supervise others. The role offers development towards a Warehouse Supervisor position as your skills and performance progress.

Main responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily warehouse activities, including goods-in, put-away, storage, picking, packing, labelling, dispatch and stock control.
  • Allocate tasks and set daily priorities for permanent and temporary employees, using staffing levels and warehouse space effectively.
  • Support rotas, attendance records, holiday and absence cover, and overtime planning with the Warehouse Manager.
  • Lead, coach and train colleagues, communicate clear instructions and ensure standard operating procedures are followed.
  • Monitor productivity, order accuracy, quality and dispatch deadlines; report performance against KPIs and help control labour costs.
  • Use the warehouse management system (WMS), scanners and computer applications to process orders, record stock movements and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Carry out stock checks, investigate discrepancies and resolve or escalate operational problems promptly.
  • Support goods handling and other warehouse-floor tasks when needed to meet operational requirements.
  • Maintain a safe, clean and organised warehouse and ensure compliance with company procedures and health and safety requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal departments, customers, suppliers and logistics partners when required.
  • Prepare daily records and regular warehouse performance reports for management.
  • Undertake key-holder duties when required and appropriately authorised.

Essential requirements

  • Hands-on warehouse experience, with experience in third-party logistics (3PL), fulfilment or comparable warehouse operations.
  • Previous experience leading or managing people. Candidates with warehouse operative experience and people-management experience gained in another role or industry will also be considered.
  • A practical understanding of goods-in, picking, packing, dispatch and inventory control.
  • Confidence using computers, Microsoft Excel, email and warehouse systems, with accurate data-entry skills and the ability to learn our WMS processes.
  • Willingness to work on the warehouse floor and take part in daily operational tasks.
  • Ability to communicate professionally in Mandarin or Cantonese with Chinese-speaking colleagues, customers and business partners.
  • Good written and spoken English, clear communication and strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • A reliable approach, attention to detail and commitment to safe working practices.
  • Availability for additional hours and occasional weekend work when operationally required.
  • Right to work in the United Kingdom.

Preferred experience

Experience in 3PL warehouse operations, transshipment or transfer warehouses, overseas warehousing, Amazon FBA order handling or e-commerce fulfilment is particularly welcome. Experience with staff training, warehouse KPIs, stock investigations and operational reporting is also beneficial.

Working arrangements

  • Permanent, on-site role in Rugby.
  • Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend availability.
  • Candidates must be available between 9:00 am and 5:30 pm.
  • 20 hours guaranteed per week, with the opportunity to work 40+ hours depending on operational requirements.

Benefits

  • Company pension.
  • Company events.
  • Free on-site parking.
  • Staff discount.
  • Casual dress.
