### **Description**
**Job Title:** Senior Technical Business Analyst **Location:** London Bridge, SE1 (4 days on\-site) **Term:** Permanent, Full Time or Part Time (Minimum 4 days) **Salary:** Competitive \+ Benefits (Private Medical, Private Dental, Life Assurance, Private Pension \& many more)
The Senior Technical Business Analyst will be responsible for translating business, quality, regulatory, operational, and technical needs into clear, testable, and technically actionable requirements for new and existing systems. The role will provide the programme/ project management, analysis, documentation, configuration, testing, validation, release, and change\-management capability required to support the organisation as it moves from building bespoke solutions towards buying, configuring, integrating, and managing third\-party platforms.
This is a hands\-on technical role requiring the successful candidate to work closely with process owners, Quality Assurance, IT, software development, vendors, and senior stakeholders to analyse business processes, define functional and non\-functional requirements, design and document APIs and integrations, undertake technical analysis, support integration modelling, data modelling, configuration design, workflow design, test planning, defect management, and technical change control. The role will ensure systems are configured, validated, integrated, released, and maintained with appropriate rigour, traceability, documentation, and governance.
The role will also manage tooling such as Azure DevOps or Jira to provide structured control over requirements, testing, defects, releases, change management, and audit evidence.
### **Main duties and responsibilities**
* Elicit, analyse, document, and manage detailed business, functional, non\-functional, integration, data, reporting, and validation requirements for new and existing systems. * Translate business and process\-owner needs into technically actionable requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, data mappings, and system configuration specifications. * Own and support the business and technical configuration of bought SaaS, COTS, low\-code/no\-code, workflow, decisioning, integration, and reporting solutions, reducing reliance on external consultancy companies for future change. * Work closely with process owners to ensure they can focus on review, approval, and operational ownership while the Technical Business Analyst prepares the detailed requirements, test planning, documentation, and change\-management artefacts required for delivery. * Support Quality Management and Computer Systems Validation activities by producing clear, traceable user requirements, test plans, test scripts, test evidence, defect records, validation documentation, and change\-control records in line with SOPs and regulatory expectations. * Plan, coordinate, and support UAT, integration testing, regression testing, configuration testing, and defect triage, ensuring testing is appropriately structured, documented, and executed. * Configure, maintain, and promote effective use of SharePoint \& Azure DevOps, or equivalent tooling (Confluence \& Jira) to support requirements management, traceability, test management, release management, software development, systems change management, and audit readiness. * Support project and programme management activities, including planning, delivery tracking, RAID management, stakeholder updates, dependency management, and coordination across business, technical, quality, and vendor teams. * Analyse current business processes and systems, identify gaps, inefficiencies, risks, and improvement opportunities, and recommend pragmatic solutions that align with business needs, quality requirements, and technology strategy. * Work with vendors and implementation partners to ensure requirements, configuration decisions, integrations, data flows, testing, and release plans are properly understood, documented, challenged, and controlled. * Support API, data, reporting, workflow, automation, and integration analysis, including review of JSON, XML, OpenAPI/Swagger, SQL outputs, interface specifications, and system logs where required. * Ensure requirements, change records, design decisions, test evidence, defects, and release documentation are maintained to a high standard and remain traceable from business need through to testing, approval, deployment, and post\-implementation support. * Provide early identification of defects, ambiguity, missing requirements, configuration risks, process\-control weaknesses, and validation gaps before they become delivery or audit issues. * Prepare and present analysis outputs, options, risks, progress updates, test outcomes, change impacts, and recommendations to senior stakeholders and project governance forums.
### **Qualifications and Experience**
* Bachelor’s degree in computer science or relevant experience. * Proven experience in a senior technical business analysis role * Prior experience supporting technology delivery, business analysis, requirements definition, systems validation, and quality\-related change within a Clinical Research Organisation or healthcare environment * Previous experience working as a Technical Business Analyst, Senior Business Analyst, or equivalent role within complex systems delivery. * Experience of technology programme/project delivery \& governance and stakeholder management across business and technology leadership. * Experience working with SaaS, COTS, low\-code/no\-code, workflow, decisioning, integration, or data\-driven platforms. * Experience using SharePoint \& Azure DevOps or Confluence \& Jira for requirements, testing, change management, and delivery tracking.
