Your mission:
- Develop and maintain the Linux OS for a SCADA system
- Configure operating system services and resources
- Develop secure update and device management mechanisms
- Implement rollback and system recovery capabilities
- Provide and maintain the Linux platform for containerized applications
- Harden the operating system according to security best practices
- Manage networking, certificates and access control
- Provide system logging, monitoring and debugging capabilities
- Collaborate closely with Backend, Database, DevOps and Test engineers
- Ensure reliable operation throughout the product lifecycle
Your profile:
- 3+ years in Linux and embedded software development
- Strong linux system expertise
- Experience with Debian, Ubuntu or comparable Linux distribution
- Linux security, system hardening and secure boot concepts
- Experience with OTA update solutions
- Network configuration and troubleshooting
- Experienced in shell scripting and automation
- Understanding of operating system services, resource management, and system startup processes
- Experience with Podman and container technologies
- Good understanding of industrial cyber security (IEC 62443)
- Experience in agile software development
- Good communication skills
- Bonus: Experience with SCADA or comparable industrial systems
