Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Design Engineer with 2–3 years of experience in structural consultancy. The candidate should have hands-on experience in the analysis and design of RCC residential mid-rise and high-rise buildings, commercial buildings, and structural steel structures such as canopies and miscellaneous steel works.
The candidate will work closely with senior engineers and drafting teams for preparation, review, and coordination of structural design and drawings.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Structural analysis and design of RCC residential buildings including mid-rise and high-rise structures.
- Design and detailing coordination for commercial buildings and structural steel canopies.
- Preparation and checking of structural calculations, design reports, and BOQs.
- Coordination with architects, MEP consultants, geotechnical consultants, and site teams.
- Preparation/review of GA drawings, framing plans, foundation layouts, and structural schematic drawings.
- Review and coordination of structural drawings with drafting teams.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant IS codes, NBC guidelines, and project specifications.
- Attend internal/client coordination meetings and incorporate design feedback.
- Assist in resolving site queries and preparation of technical responses.
Required Skills
- Good knowledge of RCC and structural steel design concepts.
- Familiarity with Indian Standard Codes and design practices.
- Experience in residential and commercial building projects.
- Knowledge of structural analysis and design software such as:
- ETABS
- STAAD.Pro
- SAFE
- AutoCAD
- Basic understanding of construction methodology and site coordination.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
