Department: Human Resources Position works under the supervision of the Director, Human Resources. The Human Resources Specialist performs Talent Acquisition related duties at the professional level with both breadth and depth across the Talent Acquisition lifecycle. The TA Specialist will fulfill SVMH’s talent needs through proactive external talent sourcing and recruitment. Completes intake and strategy sessions with hiring managers to ensure the job description/posting accurately reflects the job duties, qualifications and appropriate competencies. Proactively sources talent through various recruitment channels and talent pools (e.g., Hartnell College, LinkedIn, Indeed). Screens interest to narrow the applicant pool and presents the most qualified applicants to the hiring manager for review. Conducts assessment interviews for hard-to-fill and leadership positions. Advises leaders on the standard talent selection process to ensure the right talent is selected. Partners with the hiring manager to prepare the conditional offer, references, pre-closing talent throughout the process based on our compensation philosophies and union contracts. Delivers the job offer and negotiates on behalf of the hiring manager and organization. Partners with the Total Rewards specialist when the recommended offer surpasses the 50th percentile or creates a real or perceived inequity. Additionally, to keep a pulse on the market and any upcoming compensation adjustments or changes in compensation philosophy. Assists in the cover/relief of other department staff as needed and assists with special projects as necessary. Demonstrates necessary flexibility in regard to changes in the Hospital or department activities. The position is expected to have a high level of political acumen and is expected to make decisions, handle complex problems, and provide support to clients including managing the same issue with both employees and management. Is able to work independently with a minimal amount of supervision. Education: High school diploma or GED. Bachelor’s degree in business or Human Resources related field strongly preferred. Licensure: HRCI or SHRM HR certification is preferred. Experience: A minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience preferably in Talent Acquisition / Recruitment, Talent Sourcing and Executive Level Recruitment. Pay Range: The hourly rate for this position is $56.40 - $70.50. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the target for new hire salaries for this position.
