JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a Senior Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Developer with strong hands-on experience delivering production websites using AEM Edge Delivery Services (EDS). The ideal candidate combines practical implementation skills with sound technical judgment, architecture-level thinking, and the ability to communicate decisions clearly.

The role will support an initial implementation and a second phase of work, with the engagement expected to continue through much of 2027. Work beyond the initial 9–12 months will depend on project needs. The successful candidate will collaborate with project leadership, architects, UX/design, and content teams to deliver accessible, high-performance digital experiences.

RESPONSIBILITIES

AEM Edge Delivery Services Implementation

Build and maintain reusable EDS blocks, components, and page templates.
Deliver accessible, high-performance production pages using AEM Edge Delivery Services.
Apply appropriate EDS architecture and implementation patterns across the site.
Use document-based authoring practices and support content operations and deployment workflows.
Technical Leadership & Architecture
Make and communicate sound technical and architecture decisions.
Provide technical guidance to teammates and help resolve implementation challenges.
Collaborate with project leadership and architects on technical approach, dependencies, risks, and delivery plans.
Explain progress, trade-offs, and risks clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Integrations, Quality & Optimization

Implement integrations with enterprise content and digital systems as required.
Optimize Core Web Vitals, accessibility, technical SEO, and overall website performance.
Use Git/GitHub workflows, CI/CD practices, and debugging techniques to support reliable delivery.
Work closely with UX/design and content teams to translate requirements into production-ready experiences.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

Senior-level experience implementing Adobe Experience Manager solutions, including production websites built with Edge Delivery Services (EDS). Experience limited to traditional AEM Sites alone is not sufficient.
Strong JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3 skills.
Hands-on experience building custom EDS blocks and reusable components.
Understanding of EDS architecture, document-based authoring, GitHub workflows, Git, CI/CD, and debugging.
Experience with integrations and website performance, accessibility, and technical SEO.
Ability to make and explain architecture decisions, guide other developers, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
Availability for at least five hours of daily overlap with the North American team; Eastern Time working hours are preferred.

Preferred

Adobe Architect certification is strongly preferred; candidates should be able to provide the credential or verification.
Experience with AEM Sites and Universal Editor, or migrating traditional AEM Sites implementations to Edge Delivery Services.
Experience with Adobe Experience Cloud, analytics, personalization, and third-party integrations.
Experience delivering enterprise or professional-services websites.
