Job Description:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented QA Engineer / Software Testing Intern (Manual & Automation) to join our team.
The ideal candidate should have basic knowledge of software testing concepts and a willingness to learn manual and automation testing for web applications.
During this 6-month internship, the candidate will gain hands-on experience in testing web applications, identifying bugs, executing test cases, and collaborating with developers to ensure software quality and functionality.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand project requirements, user stories, and application functionalities.
- Assist in performing manual and basic automation testing on web applications.
- Test frontend (React) applications and backend APIs (Node.js) under guidance.
- Learn to write, execute, and maintain test cases and test scenarios.
- Identify, document, report, and track software bugs.
- Assist in performing functional, regression, smoke, and UI testing.
- Perform basic API testing using Postman.
- Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and project managers to understand and resolve issues.
- Support the QA team in ensuring application quality and timely delivery.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of Software Testing concepts (SDLC/STLC).
- Fundamental knowledge of Manual Testing and testing methodologies.
- Basic understanding of web applications and MERN Stack technologies.
- Familiarity with API testing using Postman.
- Understanding of Bug Life Cycle and defect reporting.
- Basic knowledge of SQL / MongoDB (preferred).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn new testing tools and technologies.
Good to Have
- Basic knowledge of Automation Testing tools (Selenium / Cypress / Playwright).
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Familiarity with bug-tracking tools such as Jira.
- Basic knowledge of JavaScript.
- Academic projects or training related to software testing.
- Understanding of SaaS or web-based applications.
Eligibility Criteria
- Freshers or candidates looking to start their careers in Software Testing / Quality Assurance.
- Students or recent graduates in B.Tech, B.E., BCA, MCA, B.Sc. IT, M.Sc. IT, or related fields.
- Basic knowledge of manual testing and software development concepts.
- Willingness to commit to a 6-month full-time internship.
- Candidates should be comfortable working from our Ahmedabad office.
