We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive SC Cleared DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic technology team. Duties
- Develop and manage automated deployment pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, and TFS to enable continuous integration and delivery of software products.
- Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure leveraging AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and OpenStack to ensure scalable and secure environments.
- Utilize containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes to orchestrate microservices architectures and optimize resource utilization.
- Configure and manage virtualization platforms including VMware and CentOS for efficient system provisioning and management.
- Monitor system performance with tools such as New Relic, Splunk, and Elasticsearch; troubleshoot issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Implement security best practices by managing firewalls, VPNs, DNS configurations, and incident response procedures within a secure environment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams following Agile methodologies like Scrum to gather requirements, plan releases, and improve deployment processes.
- Conduct system testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure high-quality software releases aligned with SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) standards.
- Support disaster recovery planning and execution to safeguard critical data and maintain business continuity in the event of failures or outages.
Skills
- Extensive experience with containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet, and Terraform.
- Proficiency in scripting languages including PowerShell, Bash (Unix shell), Groovy, Perl, Python, Ruby, Go, C#, C++, and Java for automation tasks.
- Strong knowledge of cloud computing platforms such as AWS (including S3), Azure, Google Cloud Platform, OpenStack; familiar with SaaS models.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise middleware like WebLogic, WebSphere; application servers including JBoss; database systems like MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle; T-SQL scripting.
- Familiarity with web services (RESTful APIs), web servers (NGINX), load balancers, firewalls, TCP/IP networking protocols including DNS and TCP connections.
- Skilled in version control systems such as GitHub, GitLab, SVN; experience with software development tools like Maven, Gradle; continuous integration tools like Jenkins.
- Knowledge of distributed systems architecture including microservices design patterns; incident management; system administration on Linux/UNIX platforms.
- Ability to gather requirements effectively while adhering to security standards for SC cleared environments; understanding of disaster recovery strategies.
