Duties

- Collaborate with designers to translate wireframes and mockups into fully responsive web pages using HTML, CSS (including SCSS), JavaScript frameworks, and Bootstrap.
- Integrate third-party APIs and develop custom RESTful APIs to enhance website features and connectivity.
- Maintain website security, perform regular updates, and troubleshoot issues using developer tools and version control systems like GitHub or SVN.
- Implement SEO best practices to improve site visibility and performance across search engines.
- Optimize websites for scalability, responsiveness, and fast load times across all devices.
- Work within Agile software development methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban, utilizing tools like Jira or Trello for project management.
Qualifications
- Proven experience developing websites with WordPress, including theme customization and plugin development.
- Strong proficiency in front-end technologies: HTML5, CSS3 (Sass/SCSS), JavaScript (including frameworks like Angular or React), jQuery, TypeScript, and AJAX.
- Solid understanding of back-end development using PHP, MySQL databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL/SQLite), and server-side scripting.
- Familiarity with system architecture principles, DevOps practices such as CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins or GitHub Actions), Docker containers, AWS cloud services, Tomcat servers, and Linux environments.
- Experience working with APIs such as RESTful Web Services or SOAP for integrating external data sources.
- Knowledge of e-commerce platforms like WooCommerce or Drupal integration is a plus.
- Ability to develop responsive web designs that provide optimal UX across desktops, tablets, and smartphones.
- Strong understanding of SEO strategies, web services integration, data visualization techniques, and user flow optimization.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on scalability and performance tuning in high-traffic environments.
- Experience working in Agile teams using tools like Jira or Trello to manage tasks efficiently.
