GK Marketing & SEO is a growing digital marketing business helping local and service-based businesses improve their visibility on Google and AI-powered search platforms.
We’re looking for a detail-oriented SEO Specialist to support ongoing client SEO work. This is initially a project-based role, with the opportunity to grow as the agency expands.
The ideal person understands that good SEO goes beyond adding keywords to a page. You should be comfortable researching how potential customers search, creating and optimizing useful content around those searches, improving website structure and on-page SEO, and using performance data to identify opportunities.
What You'll Work On
- Conduct keyword, competitor, and local search research
- Optimize existing website pages for SEO
- Create and optimize service and location/city pages
- Write and/or optimize SEO blog content
- Optimize title tags, meta descriptions, headings, URLs, images, and page copy
- Build and improve internal linking
- Support Google Business Profile optimization and posts
- Review Google Search Console and GA4 data
- Identify indexing, crawlability, and basic technical SEO issues
- Research new organic search opportunities for clients
- Implement local SEO best practices for service-based businesses
- Help structure content for AEO/AI search visibility, including Google AI experiences and platforms such as ChatGPT
- Track completed work and provide clear updates on deliverables and performance
What I'm Looking For
- Hands-on SEO experience with real websites
- Strong understanding of on-page SEO and keyword research
- Experience with local SEO
- Familiarity with Google Search Console and GA4
- Strong writing/editing skills
- Comfortable working in common website platforms such as Squarespace, Wix and/or WordPress
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail
- Comfortable learning and adapting as search and AI discovery evolve
Experience with Google Business Profile, schema, technical SEO, Semrush/Ahrefs, and AI/AEO optimization is a plus.
About the Role
This will begin as a part-time contractor position with flexible hours. Work will be assigned based on client needs, with the potential for consistent ongoing work and increased responsibility as GK Marketing & SEO continues to grow.
The role is primarily focused on SEO execution and implementation. Client communication and overall account strategy will initially remain with the agency owner.
