We're looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to own critical services end\-to\-end — from design to production — and help us scale to the next order of magnitude. You'll join a small, senior team where your decisions have real impact.
### **Tasks**
* Design, build and operate scalable backend services (Python / FastAPI) and REST APIs. * Model and optimize PostgreSQL schemas; write efficient async queries. * Own services end\-to\-end: architecture, implementation, testing, deployment and monitoring. * Integrate third\-party APIs and internal microservices behind a gateway. * Improve reliability, performance and security under high concurrency. * Collaborate with product and frontend to ship features that matter. * Mentor mid\-level engineers and raise the bar on code quality.
### **Requirements**
* 5\+ years building production backend systems in Python. * Strong experience with FastAPI (or Flask/Django) and async programming. * Solid PostgreSQL skills: schema design, indexing, query optimization. * Experience designing and scaling REST APIs and microservices. * Comfortable with Docker, CI/CD and cloud (AWS preferred). * Good understanding of auth (JWT/OAuth), caching and message queues. * Clear written and spoken English; pragmatic, ownership mindset.
Nice to have: Kubernetes, SQLAlchemy, observability (Prometheus/Grafana), LLM/AI integrations ### **Benefits**
