Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer with strong expertise in Snowflake and modern data engineering practices. The ideal candidate should have 5+ years of total experience, including at least 3 years of hands-on Snowflake experience, along with strong SQL and Python skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and optimize dimensional data models (Fact & Dimension) for performance and scalability.
- Develop and maintain ELT, batch, streaming, and near real-time data pipelines.
- Write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries.
- Build and manage data integration interfaces, APIs, and microservices.
- Implement data quality checks, validation rules, and monitoring.
- Use Git and CI/CD pipelines for deployment and version control.
- Monitor production workloads, resolve incidents, and ensure SLA compliance.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and document data lineage.
Mandatory Skills
- Minimum 5+ years of overall Data Engineering experience.
- Minimum 3+ years of hands-on Snowflake experience (Mandatory).
- Strong expertise in Snowflake Data Warehouse.
- Advanced SQL and Python programming.
- Data Warehousing & Dimensional Modeling (Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, Fact & Dimension).
- Experience with ELT/ETL pipeline development.
- Git and CI/CD implementation.
- Experience with APIs and data integration.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Azure SQL experience.
Preferred Skills
- dbt, Airflow, Dagster, or Fivetran.
- Spark, Databricks, or Kafka.
- Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift.
- Great Expectations or Soda.
- Terraform, Kubernetes, Helm.
