Job Overview
As a Senior IT Business Analyst, you’ll connect business needs with practical technology solutions. You’ll lead requirements analysis, assess data and systems, and turn findings into clear recommendations, reports, and dashboards. Your work will help teams make informed decisions and deliver improvements through the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Responsibilities
- Lead business analysis and requirements analysis, documenting needs, workflows, and acceptance criteria for technical teams.
- Analyze SQL databases and linked data; support database design, data model design, extract, transform, and load (ETL) processes, and query management.
- Develop analytics, business intelligence, data visualization, reporting, and dashboarding solutions using tools such as Tableau, Looker, Power BI, and Excel.
- Apply software development lifecycle analysis and Agile practices; coordinate project management activities and collaborate across business and technology teams.
- Your impact: By translating business requirements into reliable data products, you help stakeholders access clearer insights and make better-informed decisions.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated senior-level business analysis, data analysis, and analytical skills, with technical proficiency in SQL and data analytics tools.
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, database design, dashboard development, and reporting and dashboarding tools.
- Familiarity with Python, R, VBA, Bash (Unix shell), Talend, ETL, and analytics workflows; experience with Visio is useful.
- Knowledge of SDLC, Agile, project management, business intelligence, data visualization, and Excel data analysis.
- Preferred: experience with linked data, data model design, query management, and software development lifecycle analysis.
